In 2004, Ashley Evans began her journey in the restaurant industry. She was hired on as a host at the newest upscale bowling alley and restaurant in Tampa, FL. She quickly learned she loved the high paced atmosphere and told her boss she would create the training programs for the entire company one day! At this time, the company was very small with little need for a training coordinator. However, as Ashley continued her education at the University of South Florida and continued her path in the restaurant, the company began to expand. Ashley went through the restaurant ranks doing everything from hosting, food running, serving, and bartending. After graduating from USF with a BA in English, Technical and Professional Writing, she decided to take the leap into restaurant management. Over the course of her 18-year commitment to the same company, she traveled the US and opened 15 restaurants. She created the training programs for each area of the restaurant and assisted in the company's expansion by leading the training of both Front of House and Back of House during the new store openings. One of her favorite sayings during new restaurant openings has always been, "It's not life and death, it's lunch and dinner." Ashley and her mentors would say it during openings to keep staff (and each other) in good spirit knowing that it's just food, let's have some fun! Settling in as a General Manager for two concepts, she knew that her passion was with coaching, teaching and training in the restaurant industry. Her company supported her dream to start her own consulting company and that is how Lunch and Dinner Consulting began!
